Today is February, 2nd, and all the group went in a trip to Cherokee, to visit the schools and the NC (museum and meeting with tribal leaders). In my opinion, the schools` visit was so enriching because we all can improve our knowledge about Cherokees way of life nowadays. We visited the classrooms, the gym, the rugby field, the laboratories and others places as well, and finally we had a delicious lunch at the auditorium. It`s was so nice, such a delicious food!!! But when we finished lunch and organized to go the museum, started to snow and we couldn`t go there anymore... ooohhh... the snow is so beautiful and amazing for us Brazilian because we really don`t have snow in our cities but, it was so frustrated not visiting the Cherokees Museum! In fact, we returned to Knoxville a little bit sad.

In 21st, January, we went to visit Great Smoky Mountains, in a Cades Cover Tour, and it was so nice. We learnt about the Cherokee`s history in our History`s classes here and after that we had the opportunity to take a view in the local place they lived many time ago. I felt so blessed because I had this great and unforgettable experience. Actually, all of us had a lot of fun and learnt a lot, as well.
Hello, everyone! Now I`m finally here in Knoxville, Tennessee/USA, after a huge trip that last us almost 24 hours wow!!! The first person we met was Jeff, our gentle Coordinator who makes the arrangements to us knowing the city and visiting other cities as well. And the second was our sweet teacher Leah, who presented us the UT, University of Tennessee Campus, and explained us all the things we need to survive here in this such strange place for us. We were so confused, worried and excited about the time zone, the cultural differences, the weather and food... but they did and continue doing the best for us "Make this place your home" as in the Phillip Phillips` beautiful song!!!
